Meet Crystal
mother, women's health herbalist, postpartum care provider
Through pregnancy, childbirth, & mothering I have come to understand the true meaning of feminine power.
Cultivating the courage and strength to be able to surrender into softness,
to open fully to the unknown while being grounded and trusting, following my intuitions. I embrace and embody my cyclical nature by living in tune with mother natures seasons and rhythms.
This brings me peace, connection, felt sense of safety, groundedness, a sense of belonging. I recognize the immensity of what it means to be a life bringer, the responsibility of this sacred rite. It requires presence, nourishment and community support.
I believe when mothers are healthy and well communities are healthy and well. By honoring and tending to our bodies in all seasons of life we ensure wellbeing.
As a lifetime lover of the plant nation, I have worked with plants in many ways and places. I am called to study, remember and share their medicine. I enjoy working with people to encourage them to take charge of their wellbeing and make connections and relationships with plants and their bodies.
I studied with Paul Bergner and an amazing staff of teachers at The North American Institute Of Medical Herbalism in Boulder, CO. I Graduated in 2007 a Certified Clinical Herbalist, Certified Nutritionist but recognize herbalism is a life long learning expedition. I was fortunate to spend time with Ms Beatrice Waight in Belize, learning about Maya medicine and abdominal massage. I have also sat at the feet of many other traditional healers in Mexico as well as Panquetzani in the US. I am a certified INNATE Postpartum Care Provider, having studied with Rachelle Garcia and her amazing team of educators.
I’m always expanding my knowledge and endlessly learning from the plants and humans that have walked the path before me! I am an avid researcher and observer of the natural world.
I love living on the western slope of Colorado! I can grow many medicinals in my garden and have access to an amazing array of bio-regions in my “back yard”. I am grateful for all opportunities to enjoy life's abundance.
